Internships

We offer remote semester-long internships to qualified college students or graduates who want to learn more about the publishing industry. Job is to read and provide thoughtful analysis and comments both orally and in writing on unsolicited writer submissions and client proposals; scout for new writers on various websites, newspapers and magazines, and perform some clerical work. Strong writing and editorial skills a must, along with intellectual curiosity and love of reading. This position is unpaid, although college credit may be available. Work from home approximately 5-10 hours per week. Weekly one-hour meeting in person at Metro accessible office in Bethesda if applicant is local, but willing to work with intern remotely as well.
